We were commissioned by the Lodha Group, a leading real estate developer, to design and deliver affordable housing at Pallava, Mumbai. Spread over 12 hectares with an overall built up area of 5 million sqft, the project caters to a high density of 10,500 apartments. The mid-rise apartment blocks are placed along the periphery of rectangular courts which maintain an appropriate height to width ratio allowing adequate light and ventilation to each apartment. The designs aims to achieve a humane environment despite the high density requirement of the project. The design scheme focuses on optimisation strategies for creating a functionally well designed product which is also cost effective. Role: Design Director and Lead Architect
