Ambedkar Memorial

This was a preparation of a detailed Master Plan with due consideration for Urban Design aspects for the Grand Memorial of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in Mumbai. The competition was organized by MMRDA (Mumbai Metropolitan Region Authority). The site selected for the defunct Indu Mills in Prabhadevi. AR&UD Studio, in partnership with Locus Studio, was shortlisted among ten firms for the competition.
The brief of the competition called for a detailed Master Plan with due consideration for Urban Design aspects for the Grand Memorial of Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, having due regard to the aspects in terms of the strategic location of land, its accessibility, urban design, detailed layout, spatial distribution of built spaces, landscape, etc.
